Capítulo 1
Your Brain is a Muscle
Many people believe that intelligence is fixed. They think you are either born smart or you are not. They say things like "I am not good at languages." This is one of the most common — and most harmful — myths about learning.
Science tells us something different and exciting. Your brain is like a muscle. Every time you learn a new English word, you create a new connection. Every time you practice, that connection grows stronger. The brain does not stop growing at a certain age. It keeps changing and adapting throughout your entire life.
At the beginning, learning feels slow and difficult. You may forget words. You may feel tired. This is completely normal. It is simply the sound of your brain working hard.
Do not say "I cannot learn." Say: "I am training my brain today."
You are not too old. You are not too young. Anyone can learn — and that includes you. Today is the best day to learn English. Not tomorrow. Not someday. Today.
You accepted the 1000-Word Challenge, and that decision already says something powerful about who you are. Welcome to the journey.
